Alo'ene's Story
When the city of Newport shattered, its skies ruptured by grief, its foundations burned with love and anguish, it split the veil between realms. Everyone who perished rose again. Rewoven into the ethereal plane, they continued quietly. Streets remembered laughter. Flowers rebloomed, and over the years, as survivors lived out their mortal span, each one returned to find the city waiting. Alo’ene rises among them, still pregnant, still fragrant, still mourning for Spencer.
Sharle and the Twelve Dreams of Yesterday
Fraught with grief over the loss of her lover and shaken by the discovery of a twin sister hovering near death, Sharle is forced to confront the shadows of her past. Drawn back to a hard summer when she was eleven, she relives the trials and revelations that shaped her, secrets, betrayals, and truths too heavy for a child to bear.
As each memory unfolds, the path becomes clear: a year of turmoil and discovery that would drive her, at twelve, to strike out on her own. But the past never stays buried. When her twin’s telepathic cries finally reach her, Sharle must return to the present and show just how far she is willing to go to save her family.
